Kirk Douglas (1916 -) is an American actor and film producer. He is the father of Hollywood actor and producer Michael Douglas and is #17 on the American Film Institute's list of the greatest male American screen legends of all time. He is known for films such as Spartacus (1960), and Paths of Glory (1957). He was given the AFI Life Achievement Award in 1991, and is one of the 5 living stars on AFI's 100 Years... 100 Stars list.
