Spencer Tracy (April 5 1900 - June 10 1967) was an American actor. He appearede in 74 films between 1930 and 1967, and was nominated for 9 Academy Awards for Best Actor, and winning two. He is best known for playing Father Edward J. Flannagan in the 1938 film Boy's Town, which won him his second Oscar. He is also known for his partership with Katharine Hepburn, with whom he made 9 films. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked Tracy as the 9th greates male star.
